About Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple:

The tower is one of tallest among all temple towers in Andhra Pradesh. The height of temple is 120 feet and 9 floors that were constructed at the time of Chalukya period the reign of Chalukya Bheema

The temple Mandapam has 72 pillars and made of the black stone. Inside the Gokarneshwara, garbhalaya and Vigneshwara are there and Kshiralingam is in center of the temple and right side Subramanya Swamy and Janardhana Swamy.

The Gostani River flows Palakollu and there is near Narsapur with Godavari River. The Lord Shiva Linga can be seen from windows of all four sides of Garbha Gudiall

History of Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple:

There are so many legends for this temple; the first one is Upamanyu, the son of sage Kaushik asked Lord Shiva for milk supply. So that he can carry the rituals during festivals. Lord Shiva is filled with the Ksheera Pushkarani tank with Milk Ocean. From that time this temple is known as the Ksheerarama.

Other is Lord Rama along with Sita and Lakshmana had worshipped Lord Shiva at this spot. Once Maharishi Agastya told Lord Rama that complexion has become black after killing Ravana (who is Brahmin). So that Lord Rama takes the dip in holy water and installs Shiva Linga. After installation of several Shiva Linga, they decided to visit Gosthani River. Sita asked Hanuma to acquire it but Hanuma has not arrived on time. So that she made Shiva linga with sand and snails and did Puja. When he saw that and disappointed, then Rama assured that devote who pray in front of Shiva Linga bought by him and then that Sites

Another legend at the time of Kumaraswamy killing the demon Tarakasura, who wore Amrutha Shiva linga in his throat, was divided into 5 different pieces. And this is one of the Pancharama Kshetras

This Shiva lingam at Ksheerarama temple is tallest one and found unique milky white color. This temple is considered the most sacred temple that saying one day this temple is considered to equivalent to staying one year in Varanasi. This Shiva Lingam was established by Lord Vishnu
